Mentoring

If you are aged between 14 and 18 and have left school prior to completing year 12, or if you are contemplating leaving school early, then SCISCO’s mentoring program may help you move forward and work towards an exciting and successful future.

“I enjoyed having someone to talk to each week. Someone I could confide in, and who wouldn’t judge me.”

“My mentor helped me realise all the things I am really good at. I believe in myself more.”

“I met with my mentor once a week and she helped me get a career plan together and gave me the confidence to apply for jobs and give things a go.”

What to expect:

  • You will get to choose your mentor based on common interests, likes and dislikes.

  • You can meet your mentor once per week, in a facilitated program at either of SCISCO’s 2 Alternative Learning Centres.

  • You will have a great time, making new friends and learning more about yourself and preparing for an exciting future.

  • Free morning tea and activities

Phone SCISCO Career Pathways toll-free on 1800 244 744 if you are interested in having your own mentor.

Please note: All volunteer mentors hold a Positive Notice Blue Card for working with children and have been fully trained and screened by SCISCO Career Pathways.
