Free Training, Advice and Assistance for Young People

If you are aged between 14 and 18 and would like some friendly and relevant assistance to get into employment, alternative learning or further training then please get in touch with us.

A friendly team member can help you TODAY.

What you can expect:

  • Individualised support with a friendly experienced youth worker

  • Discussion about what you feel you need to reach your goals and get into the career you want

  • A choice of activities and workshops to help you re-connect with other young people and gain more skills

  • Referrals to other specialist agencies that can also help you

  • A chance to chill out in a relaxed environment

  • Alternative learning opportunities

  • Mentoring

  • Practical assistance with job preparation, resumes, job applications, preparing for job interviews

  • Workshops to prepare you for your learner’s permit

  • Ongoing support and follow-up

To be eligible for Youth Connections you must be:

  • An Australian citizen, permanent resident, or on a humanitarian visa

  • Between the ages of 14 and 18 (if you are just outside this range, we may still be able to help you)

  • An early school leaver (prior to completing year 12), or you are thinking about leaving school

  • Not in employment or full-time study
